Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for automating our applications (both front and back end) using open source as well as proprietary testing tools as well as designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests and infrastructure in a continuous integration development environment to ensure the highest quality of products (SaaS) for delivery to the market.

  • Have a complete understanding of all functional and technical requirements and use cases.
  • Have a complete understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Perform manual testing, software quality assurance, and implement test automation.
  • Create test plans, test cases, status reports and summary reports.
  • Create and track defects/Issues using Bug/Issue tracking tools (JIRA, Rally )
  • Suggests and implements process improvements for testing processes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team & deliver without close supervision.
  • Maintains and extends the automation infrastructure
  • Provides leadership and mentoring to team members new to automation
  • Drives adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
  • Able to work in an AGILE environment and adhere to sprint plans.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience with test automation tools such as QTP, Selenium, TestNG, and Jenkins.
  • 5+ years of experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman and automation of APIs.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation of Database testing including Stored Procedures performance and data validation.
  • 3+ years of experience with load testing tools and suites such as JMeter, Blaze Meter.
  • Experience in web application, API and database automation testing And UI testing.
  • Experience in message modeling using any of TIBCO EMS/BizTalk/Kafka/MQ etc.
  • Experience in interacting with SQL/No-SQL databases using DDL/DML commands.
  • Experience with build and continuous integration systems (Jenkins/Hudson).
  • Experience in testing Big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark etc.
  • Experience with Linux commands and scripting languages.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud environments like AWS, Azure etc.
  • Good knowledge of logging frameworks.
