About this Opportunity

MedFax is an exciting company looking for a dynamic Paralegal/Legal Research Assistant in the Content Development Department, with a focus in the area of legal research and analysis. You will work with our in-house attorney to develop and expand components of our database that deal with legal issues. Primary responsibilities include legal research and writing, organizing and analyzing legal and medical datasets, and preparing legal information for inclusion in our reporting system.  


  • Basic understanding of state and federal court systems
  • Familiarity with legal terminology
  • The ability to read and summarize legal documents
  • Experience with computers and basic office software, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience in using online legal research tools
  • Understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology a plus
  • Understanding of database technology and terminology also a plus


  • The abilityto learn and develop new skills quickly
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Computer literate
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Detail oriented & good time management skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal & written)
  • Experience as a legal research assistant


Education requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Paralegal certification
